Belkin N+ router- accessing usb drive

Post by spo00n »

While this is pretty mundane, It occurred to me this would be of help to some, especially if presented with a puzzling password option and having only instructions for windows & mac os.
A usb drive plugged into a Belkin N+ router can be accessed simply in LinuxMint with samba:
In Dolphin or Nautalis...
smb://router address/drive name (i.e.: smb://192.168.2.1/usb-drive-name/)
If prompted enter:
Username: guest
password: leave empty
You will now have access to the contents of the usb drive attached to the router's usb port.
From a browser:
smb://router address/drive name (i.e.: smb://192.168.2.1/usb-drive-name/)
