Install Broadcom STA driver without ethernet access
I'm trying to install mint 11 on a laptop with a broken ethernet connection. Normally I don't mind the ethernet connection being broken as I can use wireless. However, when trying to install mint I need to download the propriety Broadcom STA drivers. While I would normally just do this via ethernet, this is now impossible. Hence my question: Is it possible to install the Broadcom STA drivers without any ethernet access (offline so to speak). I have another computer from which I can download files, but am not certain how to get it all in mint (fairly newby here Hope you can help!

Back Story: I have a HP Pavilion DV4 1275MX Laptop as luck would have it my eithernet port burned out so now I only have wireless.
So what is an unlucky person to do? Well I could through money at it, after all money grows on trees right? Wrong! Here are a few solutions for people who can afford to spend the money to purchase adapters.
Solution:1 StarTech.com Compact Black USB 2.0 to 10/100 Mbps EN Network
Adapter Network adapter - Hi-Speed USB.

Solution:2 Linksys USB300M Network adapter - Hi-Speed USB.
Which can be found here:http://www.google.com/products/catalog? ... CFwQ8gIwAQ
Solution:3 wired/wireless express 34/54 card
Which can be found here: Google is your friend people use it.
Solution 4: If your like me you can not afford to spend the money or just don't want to you will need to find a working computer with internet access and download your wireless drivers. Which is the real focus of this post.
FINDING AND INSTALLING THE ELUSIVE: B43xx Driver: Broadcom 802.11 Linux Sta wireless driver for use with Broadcom's BCM4311-,BCM4313-,BCM4321-,BCM4322-,BCM43224-,and BCM43225-,BCM43227- and BCM43228-Based Hardware.
Ok step one you will need to go here first:http://pkgs.org/ubuntu-11.04/ubuntu-res ... 4.deb.html
Now sense I am running "Linux mint 11 64 bit" everything I choose will be "64 bit from ubuntu 11.04" select your mirror and download your binary package.
This will download your bcmwl-kernel-deb package. now go back to this page:http://www.google.com/products/catalog? ... CFwQ8gIwAQ
scan down the page and look for REQUIRES you will find four packages:dkms,libc6-dev,linux-headers-generic linux-headers,linux-libc-dev download all of your binary packages and remember to choose 64 bit if that is what you are running otherwise use 32 bit.
Now you will need to transfer all five of the files to a flash drive or usb hard drive. Once you have done that install "Linux Mint 11" on to your computer if you have not done so already. Copy all of the files off of the flash drive/usb hard drive on to your computer.
Now you will need to make each file executable if you do not have GDEBI PACKAGE INSTALLER if you have GDEBI PACKAGE INSTALLER just install using it other wise right click on the binary file and select PROPERTIES now go to PERMISSIONS and check the box labled ALLOW EXECUTING AS FILE PROGRAM and close. now doubble clik and install.
Messages will pop up telling you that there are older versions or the same version already In the package manager ignor and install anyway.
Reboot and enjoy your wireless!

I have a question. The last two packages have an "Ubuntu Main" version as well as an "Ubuntu Updates Main" one. Which one should I pick?
If it's "Ubuntu Updates Main," here are the links to all four packages (I used a different site to provide a choice between i386 and amd64):
