Hello MInt Community...

Post by thekernaljustpopped »

Hey guys my name is Manvir aka virman123 aka thekernaljustpopped aka and some other names :D

I like computing and learning new things on my computer. I have two computers one where I mess around with hardware, the OS, etc.. A while back I stumbled on to a new term (OS) called LINUX so I researched and read comments and read and read. Until I got to the point where I am like I should test it out. I first did some virtual runs of ubuntu. THEN i burned a couple of live DVD's with Linux distro's. One day I was googling Linux distro's when I found mint. I youtube LINUX MINT AND watched a couple of videos. As I am very curious I downloaded burned a DVD. And installed it. I was always a windows user because when our family got its first computer I think in 2000. It ran XP. Well that is the computer I am typing on at this moment. It still works because it had got an upgrade due to the motherboard burning out. Now it has amd athlon. 11 YEARS WOW :) One year ago we bought a new computer which runs win 7 "the family computer" can't mess that computer up. I wanted to move out of the mainstream point and click to something I have full control over. With no boundaries . I want to learn how to operate this smoothly I know it will take a while but it's worth it. I have made a bit of progress since installing it. :D

I encourage others to do the same: If you find something new, do it.

If you are a newbie like me remember one thing continue learning and doing.

Ok this is what I had to say so CYA hope to see you around.
