Reading Wii Discs
Anyone know if any software / drivers are needed to enable Mint to read Wii discs? - I've put the disc in but it just wont recognize it

Re: Reading Wii Discs
Yes, you need specific software. Wii has a proprietary and protected format. It can be done on Linux. Google "reading wii disc on linux", the first two hits explain everything.
Re: Reading Wii Discs
You also need a special DVD drive to read the discs.
The easiest way to do it is to use your Wii to dump the disc to an external HD or another computer over the network.
Then you can use an emulator like Dolphin to read the disc image.
This requires a modified Wii (lots of tutorials on the web for this)

Re: Reading Wii Discs
Reading the wiki entry you will need FriiDump to create an image...
