Compiz effects arent working

I have Compiz and everything installed, but when i open up the CompizConfig Setting Manager and change a setting (like turning on wobbly windows) it doesnt take affect. I cant find anything like a save option, so how do i make it take affect?

Hi, please check Compiz is in fact running: http://wiki.compiz.org/Troubleshooting#Is_Compiz_Running.3F

That page has more troubleshooting tips. There is also a script you can run in the Terminal to see if your hardware can handle Compiz. It says on my machine it can't, while it is running perfectly--so it may be a bit buggy. Worth a try anyway:

It came up with a few fails on the check, so im guessing my machine cant handle it... Thankyou
