Is it possible/wanted/planned?
It is, quite possible, the only thing I imagine myself lacking in the upcoming LM 11 KDE release.
(Yes, I know about Lancelot, but it is not the same...)

Well we can't port mintApplications to KDE (there's more work involved than allowed by our release schedule) but the KDE Edition will come with a third party product called Tasty Menu, which is really cool too.
