Brightness setting shouldn't be (only) in Power Management

Postby pepperminty on Thu Aug 11, 2011 7:10 pm

This is a strange thing in Linux Mint. If I want to adjust the brightness of my screen, I have to go to Power Management. Yes, it's true that you save power by lowering the brightness, but I'd be more used to finding Brightness in Display settings or Monitor settings.

Can the Mint developers please make this change for the next Linux Mint version?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

wyrdoak,
thanks for showing another way to access the "brightness" setting.

My point behind the post was that "Brightness" setting is in a place that people wouldn't think of looking.
