GOING BACK IN MINT TIME :) :) :)

 Great news fellows!

The next Mint distro is full of surprises. Here is the scoop:
The installation of mintConfig 1.2 contains a hidden code which was accidentally revealed to me. The developer was trying to keep this as a surprise (he's full of surprises recently).

To be more specific, a 4D version is about to make its appearance soon.
Linux Mint 4D is going to be a gamer's paradise.
To get a preview of this wonderful LInux Mint first, all you have to do is to enter the following secret command in a Terminal:

Code: \int {u\frac{{dv}}{{dx}}} dx = uv - \int {\frac{{du}}{{dx}}} vdx/4d/dd/default/config

Sorry, but I forgot to explain what the 4D effect does:
First, don't be surprised to see your computer time and date go back to a ridiculous setting. It may read: Year -XXXVIIIIC/ 3D4/ xxx ZCT (Z for Zoroaster time)
Secondly, an icon will appear on your desktop ( 4D Divert)
Third, click on it, And voila! you are back in time a few thousand years.

You can then select the time of your choice, going back and forth, and have fun!

How about the battle of the Buldge? Or Romans against Galatians ( a real bloody socker game! )
Ah! This is something you should not miss: Jules Clement Verne's 20000 Leaks under the Sea.

Have fun!

Wait for scorp123 kenetics,

He knows how to set up the Tacheon accelerator. He is a true Kinetics expert. I tried to set it up myself yesterday, but I got nowhere. I'm stuck here half decomposed and waiting for help. Whatever you do, don't ever try the 10 Gigavolt setting!

Looks like he's stuck in the French Revolution? :?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niv%C3%B4se
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Republican_Calendar

@kenetics: Don't lose your head .... :wink:

EDIT: I tried to calculate this stuff back into a Gregorian date ... but this sh** confused the hell out of me

Now I got stuck somewhere between Long Count 12.19.13.9.6 Haab 19 Xul Tzolkin 10 Cimi and 3761 Teveth 11 ... Hope I didn't lose any tachyons back there ...

What does this tell us? The "French Republican Calendar" wasn't such a smart idea after all

I told you kenetics.
Scorp123 did locate the date and place correctly. He's the best Kinetic engineer I've seen doodling with this damn Tachyon contraption.

It's a good thing I don't suffer from kinetophobia gravis, tho I do get sea sick some times.
As a last resort, if you get stuck somewhere and scorp is not around, you may contact captain Nemo. You know, the guy 20000 leaks under the sea.
He's good too. He managed all of the 20000 leaks by himself.

If you're into calendars and you happen to speak Ydean or French, check the Ydean Calendar: http://clemyeats.free.fr/pub/ydeaeCalendys.pdf

Scorp is correct about the French Revolutionary (Jacobin) calendar. Actually it was yesterday's date according to an internet source. I don't want to go back there though, I don't want to lose my head!!

npap, I love Jules Verne. My favorite is "In Search of the Castaways" (all 3 volumes). "Off on a Comet" is interesting also. Some of his books haven't been translated into English very well, and the only French I know is from wine bottles! His book "from the Earth to the Moon" takes place here in Tampa. There is a plaque in his honor at the spot of the "launch".

For all you time travellers out there, here is the "Swiss Pocket Knive" for calculating calendars between various systems:
http://www.fourmilab.ch/documents/calendar/

And in case anyone wonders about the exotic dates in my posting up there: The first one is the Maya calendar (very interesting stuff!) and the other one is the Hebrew / Jewish one. Armed with the website above it should be easy to find out what dates I mentioned up there

Sorry,
'20000 Leaks Under the Sea' is Clem's copyright. I referred to it without asking for his permission.
Imagine captain Nemo running around like mad to plug up 20000 leaks
He did take off from Tampa. Nasa is just a few hundred years behind schedule
Yes. Jules was really tops. I think I wouldn't mind reading his stories again.
If you keep drinking more French wine , your French will get better I think.

I improved mine drinking Cognac with mint. Ou lala! You get to speak like a papagal (that's French for parrot. I think :) ) You know it's mostly Greek. Galos is the word for a Frenchman. Ask Scorp.
He knows Greek, too; besides being a Kinetics expert.
I told you he's the right guy for time tricks. See, he even gave us a calendar conversion table. I think I will have to re-adjust my clock accordingly.

Au revoir mon ami

Just back...

Post by kenetics »

Just got back! Don't know where I was but there was no LinuxMint forum! It was very scary. Just a bunch of apt-gets, codecs, and win32 stuff floating around in space. No multimedia at all! I landed back here by pure luck. Great to be back! :D

Hi Ken,
It looks like you were on the SS Eldridge in the Philadelphia experiment.
Welcome back anyway.
How's our friend Jules, by the way. I missed him :(

npap, I didn't see Jules. I think he was climbing down a volcano somewhere in Iceland. I did see a person fending off some penguins though. I said "Wie gates?" and he said "No, Big Bill!". Then I left.

True! It's better than being graphical Or gooy :)
But, Verbosity killed the cat!
