[fixed] LMDE RC problem with detecting processor cores

Post by pan »

I decided to make new thead with a better title so anyone with the same problem will find it. I just clean installed new LMDE RC snapshot and I found out that
only one processor core is detected. So, I would like to know how to fix this problem or you can just tell me if my processor is still working with full power although only
one core is detected?!

Thank you all.

EDIT: in other distros and previous snapshot LMDE I could clearly see 2 cores marked CPU1 and CPU2

I believe it does not. (have the same problem here)
You can run CPU CryptoHash benchmark on different distros for yourself and compare the results.

Thanks for posting link to the same problem. Hmm, so it's really kernel problem. There isn't any easy fix? :-)
