I just installed 201108rc on both of my laptop. They all work pretty smooth.
When I woke up my machine from suspended mode, the system don't even ask the password. It might be a bug. I am not sure.

You have to manually 'enable' the screensaver. And select the [lock-screen] feature.

- Start `gconf-editor` from terminal or Alt-F2.
- In the left-side navigation control, browse to /apps/gnome-power-manager/lock
- To see what you can change, select row items in the top-right pane. You'll get explanation of what it means in the lower-right pane.
