Flash Causes Firefox to Lockup

Post by BrianBommarito »

Okay, here's my issue.

Whenever I am using Firefox to surf around Youtube, if I watch one video, then skip to another one in the same tab, the Firefox window will dim to a grayish color, and then freeze, which then I must force quit the application. If however I open each video in it's own tab, no problems.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash, I tried running Firefox from the terminal to see if it would spit out any errors, but it spit out nothing. I have searched about 2 dozen suggestions, none of which are helping.

Any suggestions? Oh, and btw, my color depth is set at 24.

There is an issue with FF and flash (don't have the time to look it up)
Try to open every video in its own tab, it's as simple as clicking with the wheel and I don't think it uses much more resources than opening them in the same tab
