Just did an dist-upgrade with LMDE and updated to the Liquorix Kernel 3.0-4 using smxi.
That through a monkey wrench into my vmplayer set up... but a quick trip to google revealed: http://aptosid.com/index.php?name=PNphp ... pic&t=1629
So I'm back in business;)
Of course YMMV, but I've had no problems tracking Debian testing with LMDE (I don't count the vmplayer patch).

I too have been having really good luck with Testing. I have had absolutely zero breakage. Once in a while apt will automatically hold back an update until the dependencies catch up, which is really a great feature as it prevents breakage. So things have been running smoothly for me with LMDE since it was introduced.
