I think that npap had the same problem (we had a npap2 for some time)... I'm pretty sure he solved it, perhaps he could point you in the right direction?

A lot of little bugs have suddenly sprung up with the new forum besides nicknames and registration. Now, smilies don't work as well as the menu buttons in this message: Bold etc, font size, font color and more. Clicking on a smilie, my scroll bar shoots up!!!!.
