How do I restore the default XFCE panel?

I accidentally blew my XFCE panel away - and when I add a new one, it's completely blank, but what I want is to somehow get back to the nice, clean, default XFCE panel that comes "out of the box". I can't seem to recreate the default panel correctly. Is there a way to restore the original (with the original placement of icons and applets)?

Even though the answer probably comes late, maybe it will help someone else:
First kill all running instances of the panel: killall xfce4-panel
After that remove the panel configuration directory: rm -r ~/.config/xfce4/panel (to be on the safe side, you could also just rename the folder)
Now restart the panel and it will have the default look.
