Mpd with lame

Post by mpie »

The mpd in the repo's (am pointing at incoming) is built without lame, as is the standard debian package. However cannot rebuild the deb enabling the option, due to

Code: Select all

mike@garrulus ~ $ sudo apt-get build-dep mpd
[sudo] password for mike:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 libavcodec-dev : Depends: libavcodec53 (= 5:0.8.2-0.0) but 5:0.8.2-0.1 is to be installed
Depends: libx264-dev but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libavutil-dev (>= 5:0.8.2-0.0) but it is not going to be installed
E: Build-dependencies for mpd could not be satisfied.
Any suggested work arounds, rather than installing from source, would rather apt do its job and manage packages :)
As codec's, flash etc are part of the install would it not make sense if this option was enabled by default?

so then, I installed the sid repos, did the build-dep, but then decided to just upgrade mpd and install gmpc
and then when I installed gmpc and updated the db from within there, things started working.
now I'm part-sid for no real good reason maybe...
