Greetings, does anyone know yet if jockey-gtk has been ported yet? Also, do you know if HPLIP is preinstalled on the new LMDE? Thanks

Re: LMDE ported software
Thanks. I figured it was easier to ask than to try to find out myself.
Re: LMDE ported software
Is there a place we can go to follow the development of jockey-gtk for LMDE? For me, it's the last piece I need before making the final switch from LM Ubuntu Edition to LMDE.
Cheers!

From http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2097 :
What about that "new driver manager" ?
I guess that settles it: Jockey will never be ported to LMDE.Development started on Linux Mint 14. The development team is looking into bringing [...] a new “driver manager” (in replacement to Jockey which will be discontinued upstream) and improvements in the Software Manager.

Re: LMDE ported software
There it is, the new Device Driver Manager is included in LMDE 201303 http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2346 and can be installed on other up-to-date LMDE systems with:
Code: Select all
sudo aptitude install ddm
