Re: Contest: Name the next Mint distro..........
Thank you, for your suggeston, but . . .
LinuxMint already has a Naming-theme and plan in progess, for the Mint (main) editions. Has been the same them since, the inception of LinuxMint.
Current naming thread > http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 45&start=0
The official release name is selected by Clem (founder and lead-develop of LinuxMint)
Naming Theme: A womens name, beginning with the appropriate letter (currently at 'L') in alphetical order, and ending with the letter 'a'
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
LMDE is a "rolling release' and is following the 'testing' branch of Debian.
As a 'rolling release', there are no new releases ... only a new snapshot .iso will be released, accordingly.
We'll see what happens when Debian releases "Wheezy as stable" (in a couple years) and a new 'testing' name is released?
As a rolling release, LMDE is going with the monthly snapshot cycle and the release will be 'named' after the corresponding year and 'month'.
Hence, LMDE 201109
