Hi, I can't play DVD's from the USA, no problem with PAL DVD's. When I used Mint10 I used this link:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats
Can I use this for LMDE?
Thanks, Jerry

No, you can't use it for LMDE. restricted-extras is a meta package for Ubuntu containing the pks
libxvidcore4
gstreamer0.10-plugins-base
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
If you have these packages installed you have the same as restricted-extras but for LMDE/Debian.
