Re: My New Linux Mint LMDE desktop
the green one uses carbonit-colored window borders from xfce-look.org. the theme is mire v2 which you can also get there or gnome-look.org. it was recolored using gnome-color-chooser. the window borders for the black and white version are mire v2 also. the icons are Awoken. the walls I made.

Basic LMDE (gnome) 2011.09 - Debian 'testing' - with the Fluxbox WM installed.
Using a fluxbox-style (theme) ... I made myself. ... *is becoming a fluxbox-guru
With a fluxbox-style you get the fb-taskbar (panel), right-click menu, fb-slit, and window decorations.
Simple, but it gives me everything I want from Fluxbox. (with transparency and icons in the menu)
Also, configured the Conky to be just as simple and to match the fb-style.
For those interested in Fluxbox - I made the fb-style with assistance from a guide, I found here > http://tenr.de/howto/style_fluxbox/style_fluxbox.html
You can find almost everything you may want to know about Fluxbox and Blackbox here > http://lostinthebox.com Forums
[as for the wallpaper] wish I could say this was my daughter ... but, I don't know anyone that pretty or young or talented or rich (or weird) - Avril Lavigne

LMDE gnome, simply red. If anyone is interested in my conky setup let me know and I can give you the conkyrc and necessary scripts.
EDIT: Thanks vrkalak, done.

Please continue to use clickable-thumbnails linking to the larger image -- to help those with slower connections.terdon wrote:EDIT:Umm... sorry about the size, dunno how to make images come up as thumbnails.
** Many image-hosting sites will automatically generate 'clickable-thumbnails' for you. **
An example of the BBC code needed is below.
Code: Select all

Re: My New Linux Mint LMDE desktop
This is my newest desktop which I replaced LM9 with.......it starts with LMDE Gnome, then install kde-full from synaptic or from apt, then take out gdm3 & gdm session bin with a few other aspects of gnome. Then just make it look and work like KDE....it works a whole lot better and is more reliable, quicker....thus LMDE_KDE....cheers

Re: My New Linux Mint LMDE desktop
My current desktop - Compiz as window manager, Rox controlling the desktop (needed some icons on my desktop as the folderview screenlet only runs well in Gnome). The 4 task bars are avant-window-navigator lucido and the weather is from screenlets.
The only problem with Rox is I cannot get a different wallpaper on each desktop as I had with compiz, unless anyone knows different?
