ethernet connection not working

Hey guys im new using linux, and my wireless connection is working just perfect but i cant connect to my wired network, i tred to config the wired connection according to every forum i read nothing happened so asking if someone has any advice for me, well i think it will be easy knowing that my wireless work properly, another thing is that after "configurate" the wired connection its still not available "the wired network connection" on the icon for network connections showed in the task bar, just available the wireless connections :(

Open a terminal, enter nm-tool, copy and paste the output back here.
[Edit] your original post and add [SOLVED] once your question is resolved.

Sorry.

I'll mention my case: First my ethernet connection was not detecting anything, but suddenly it worked (and I thought "what the...?"). I could say that my problem is solved (for now).

I have the same problems guys on my office computer which is an i5, with dual boot capability of linux mint 11 and windows 7.I can be able to view the other system in the LAN but the internet doesnt work. Once I try to connect it automatically, its showing that the connection has been established but I cant browse.
Anybody with a solution?
