I have a dual head video card which is has two identical monitors attached.
Nvidia settings finds only one monitor correctly and the other a much lower resolution unknown type.
What to do I need to change in nvidia-xconfig to have both screens in the same (1440x900) resolution
This problem only started with the update to with Gnome 3 .
The X.Org X server -- Nouveau display drivers were removed by Gnome 3 so I had to switch to the nvidia-glx (173.xx) .
I know this is not really a Mint issue but I can not finding anything on-line yet, that doesn't leave me with with a black screen or just just a text log in !
For the record I'm using LMDE 32 with all 5 levels updated and it's a clean install with only chrome, cheese and webcamstudio as added apps.
nvidia-xconfig set by hand, second monitor not recognised

Re: nvidia-xconfig set by hand, second monitor not recognise
We need your screen configuration: xrandr -q and the version of Xrandr: xrandr -v
Xrandr is the application for the screen's detection used by Linux.

Re: nvidia-xconfig set by hand, second monitor not recognise
AH have found out that one of the monitors is not supplying it's ID info.
SO....can someone tell me how to manually set the monitor settings
