lxde 11 Samsung tools / backlight not working

Hello, ok i got a ssd and decided to install mint lxde on with my samsung N150 plus, i was running Lubuntu 11.04 on normal hard.

With Lubuntu i had samsung-tools samsung-backlight plus the samsung specific kernel installed and all worked great.

After much SSD install research i install Mint lxde on SSD drive, this drive has a usb connection so used livecd to install it on drive using Virtualbox on my desktop, i did get one error at end of install about some apps not being reinstalled?

After changing grub.cfg to boot from correct partiton i installed SSD and all booted fine, did updates and installed samsung related software and kernel.

Problem is i cannot see the samsung-tools menu entry and backlight still does not work, both of which did in lubuntu 11.04!

any ideas?

This problem was already a problem in release 9 and 10.

You can rewrite your backlight script, a wiki on N150 Linux mint is existing somewhere to help you doing it.
