Linux user groups central texas (Austin/Pflugerville)

Postby donec on Mon Nov 07, 2011 5:26 pm

I the past I heard that the Linux user Group of Austin, Texas was taking donations of old computers to install Linux on and give to people that can't afford a computer. I believe I even joined the group but I have changed my email address since then and do not remember my password so I could not log into the forum and get any information. I tried to rejoin but the captcha is not working. It seems there have not been any post on that forum since march this year. So I have been trying to find a Linux User Group in my area to contact but I have had no luck. I have some older computer parts I would like to donate to help others get to know Linux. I have one desktop tower that will work if it is connected to a monitor as it was running XP unactivated and Mepis. I also have an HP tower case with power supply that has never been used along with some cards power control box and more. If you know of any Linux User Groups in the Austin/Pflugerville area I would love a way to contact them. I am in Pflugerville just north east of Austin.

Thanks in advance
Don
