xfce4-xfapplet-plugin causing 100% cpu usage

Postby Karma Koma on Fri Nov 18, 2011 4:41 pm

I've got the latest LMDE XFCE installed and after a certain amount of time the CPU gets pegged to 100% untill I restart x, reboot or kill the xfce4-xfapplet-plugin prosesses. I'm using the Gnome Mint Menu and Volume control with the plugins. I haven't notice when this happens but I believe its when the screensaver comes on and when its interruped by computer usage. After that seems the fans are running non stop and the system monitor shows both CPU's at 100%

I've disabled the screensaver for now and will see what happens when it comes back on. Anthing else I could checkout/do in the mean time?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

The xfce4-xfapplet-plugin has been dropped from Testing as well as Sid.
If you've got some Gnome 3 packages installed, they may be in conflict with the applet.

Why not use xfce4-mixer instead of the Gnome volume control?
Why not use the XFCE Menu instead of Gnome Mint menu?
Any other xfce4-xfapplets running from that plugin?
