Hello, I'd like to Join Mint's Team

Postby HOOHAA on Thu Nov 17, 2011 11:34 am

Hello Everyone,

First of all, I'm NOT a developer and can't be one at the moment :)

Long story short, Mint is one of the distributions that one can't ignore no matter what. It's taking the lead in the top 5 in Distrowatch for a long time now and it's finally on TOP1/RANK1 after beating Ubuntu, the base of Mint :) WELL DONE by the way ;)

I've been with Ubuntu previously and now with Lubuntu (which is an official variant of Ubuntu based on LXDE) for quite sometime and I'd like to keep the wheel moving over there and join another team to expand my skills and experience and to learn MORE about Mint and Linux in general.

I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place but I thought it's good to post here since I'm a forum guy. If this is WRONG, please be nice

Some of my activities with Lubuntu and Ubuntu are here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad

Looking forward to hear/read from you

Thanks a lot.

P.S.
I know I can simply go to Mint's Website and have a look BUT I want to talk to people and listen to their advices beside I want to say Hello so Hello again :)

Hi,

Are you saying that "Translation" is the only way to contribute?

Providing support to users on the forums and the IRC Channel #linuxmint-help,#linuxmint-debian is a good way to keep active with the community and to give back.

You might also be interested in contacting Clem on the community website and finding out whether iso testing is something you could help with.

Forum support is one of the most interesting things that I like to do and I do it best.
Thanks :)
As for IRC, I don't really like it.

I did that with Lubuntu 11.10 beta and sent many important feedback and reported some bugs. I think it's a good option too :)

Thanks :)
