Broadcam BCM43225 in Linux Mint Debian Edition

Post by jellybellys »

My laptop (acer aspire 1830T) has a bcm43225 wireless adapter in it, and I can't figure out how to set it up. How do I set it up?
Thanks

Edit:
Figured it out! Follow the directions for wheezy on this page.

Edit 2:
It only works when I run

Code: Select all

modprobe -r brcmsmac ; modprobe brcmsmac
. How do I run that at startup?

Edit 3:
Figured it all out. Thanks for helping guys. :P

Hey, thanks!

I have the same laptop as you and was tearing my hair out trying to get the wifi working.

I followed the instructions at the wiki page you linked to, and it worked. One just has to make sure NOT to install the Broadcom STA drivers- at least not with this wifi card. :D
