SOLVED: Panel at top covers window title bar

Postby jvnn on Sun Nov 27, 2011 10:34 am

I'm new here, from Ubuntu.
Unity was too much change for me and my older hardware that I manage to keep running.
By and large, I'm loving mint lxde. A few changes to get used to, but that's to be expected with any new distro.

When I use a single panel positioned at the top, I can accidentally position a window so the title bar gets hidden under the panel.
Then I can't grab the window to move it.
There are several work-arounds I have figured out so it's not a huge issue.
Just wondering if there is a setting somewhere that would protect me from being able to place the title bar there in the first place.

thanks!

Edit to add:
Problem went away.
I just spent 20 minutes trying to figure out which setting took care of this but no luck.
If anyone has the same prob, msg me and I can go over my preferences with you and see if I can help.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Thanks Richy,
Yes I saw the sticky about that site - very useful.
Just the ticket to keep me from losing my soul in gui-land.
Once upon a time I learned unix on a bunch of dec-stations, then PC's became popular and I went over to the dark side.
Now I struggle to remember the pieces of cli knowledge I once had, but my dislike of m$ has me motivated.
