On my Lenovo x200i shutdown is not working. I took a picture of the output I get after shutting down via the graphical (Xfce) interface. I cannot really make any sense of it though.

Note that after "will now halt" the cursor blinks for a while and after 10-15 seconds, the last lines appear.

Re: Shutdown problem
Did it happen after a kernel update? It seems like something is wrong with your wireless configurations or your wireless firmware.
Re: Shutdown problem
That might be, however I installed Mint and directly updated which included Kernel 3.0.0.1. I have just stumbled over another thread http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=70798 which supports what you say. I'll check how the old kernel behaves in this regard.
Re: Shutdown problem
Yesterday i found this - http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=68188 - what let me think it has to do with
wireless on your machine. The solution is for iwlagn: iwlwifi-105-5.ucode, but possibly it can give you an idea what
to do with -110 ucode.
