Another new Mint user

I'm a long time Windows user and due to particular paths I want to take in my career, I thought it was time to immerse myself into Linux fully. I've been using Linux on and off since 2005, once I discovered the magic and beauty of virtualization, I've used it more and more.

I'd rate myself on a scale of 1 to 10 in Linux skills at about a 6, but want to go deeper especially with some Python/Ruby/Perl studies.

This is about to be a big leap for me as I've ran with Windows as my main OS for years. I've dabbled with Linux from time to time and thanks to virtualization, it made experimentation so much easier.

I've recently decided to switch to Linux as my main OS (as learning more of Linux is more in line with what my career goals are). I'll still be using Windows (through VMware and/or Virtual Box).
