compiz-decorator and Mint 12

I'm having a minor annoyance that maybe somebody can shed some light upon.

The main problem is that after booting and starting fusion-icon, the decorator is set to the gtk-window-decorator, but then if you hit alt-space, it crashes. I then reset it to the supposedly invalid compiz-decorator, and then it's all good.

Does anybody know what's going on with this? Here's the logs...

Besides this minor annoyance and avoiding the 3D cube, compiz/gnome works SUPERB.

1. Why are you hitting alt-space?

2. You can fix by doing alt-f2 and running "compiz-decorator"

3. You can fix by going into keyboard shortcuts > window > and disabling the option for "alt-space" by hitting backspace on it

Alt-space brings up the menu to maximize, move, etc.

The problem goes away after running compiz-decorator --replace

Disable the system built in "keyboard shortcut" as I said earlier, that maps to alt-space.

Then, run "ccsm" and choose the "resize window" option. Enable it. By default it is Alt-Button2 (Alt-Right Click) to do what you want. If you want it to by Alt-Spacebar then map it to Alt-ButtonX and define ButtonX in compiz as the space bar.
