My Firefox is still version 5... when will it be part of the updates? Or do I have a problem?
Thanks

Re: Firefox upgrade
I think that that is the version of Firefox which came with update pack 3, so there is no problem. When update pack 4 comes out, it will have an updated Firefox. I think that the team is waiting for bugs to clear up in debian testing for gnome 3/X11, which were broken at some point upstream.
Edit: Yes, Firefox 5 was what came with the last update pack.

No, you do not have a problem.
LMDE Update pack has ff5.
Mine still have ff5 even I use Sid all the time.
A difference is, I always install iceweasel, which is Debian unbranded version of firefox.
Yesterday my Sid gnome dist-upgrade ended up with iceweasel 9
Code: Select all
lmde32g wayne # apt-cache policy firefox iceweasel
iceweasel:
Installed: 9.0-1
Candidate: 9.0-1
Version table:
*** 9.0-1 0
500 http://http.us.debian.org/debian/ unstable/main i386 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
firefox:
Installed: 5.0-1linuxmint1
Candidate: 5.0-1linuxmint1

*** 5.0-1linuxmint1 0
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
Re: Firefox upgrade
I just upgraded Iceweasel (the Debian way of Firefox, absolutely identical) to Version 9.0 via the Repo
