Yes. You should get to your "Sound preferences" window - there are two ways that I know of, either by right-clicking on the GNOME2-panel sound applet or by searching for "Sound" in the MintMenu. If I remember correctly, in the first tab, you should be able to see all the applications that are currently playing sound through PulseAudio and which device they are using - and also, you should be able to change that device. If Chromium appears there, try changing the device it is using. If it doesn't appear there, well, that's just weird because it should, so something is broken
