Has anyone successfully installed Trinity Desktop on Mint Debian 201109? The website says Mint Debian is 100% compatible with repositories designed for Squeeze, but Trinity won't install for me due to about 14 unresolved dependencies.

What are the unresolved dependencies?
Re: Trinity Desktop on Mint Debian 201109
Can't get back to that point to look, sorry. It was all Trinity stuff. I could've tried to follow each one and manually sort it all out, but I've spent way too much time on that machine already, so it'll have to wait for another day.proxima_centauri wrote:What are the unresolved dependencies?
Is Mint Debian based on Testing or Squeeze? And how can it be compatible with both sets of repositories?
Re: Trinity Desktop on Mint Debian 201109
Linux Mint now uses it's own frozen mirror of Debian testing.backwoodsman wrote:Is Mint Debian based on Testing or Squeeze? And how can it be compatible with both sets of repositories?

I alsao tried to install Trinity a few days ago on a Whezzy install and there are many missing/unresolved dependancies, but there's no problem with Squeeze

Re: Trinity Desktop on Mint Debian 201109
Tried your sources.list; doesn't work for me. Trinity installs and runs, but some things don't work. For example, Synaptic asks for the password, but just doesn't start.sumski wrote:With the following sources.list, i'm able to completely install trinity
I can't afford any more time for this right now, so I guess I'll stay with Trinity's Maverick respin until they get the new release out.

As of yesterday, the Trinity servers are back up!
