Hi
My names Jonny
and I'm a Linuxaholic.
I first started a few months back when i discovered Ubuntu, I had snuck it onto my Mac with a bottle of Virtualbox. It slipped down so easily, much more satisfying than OSX. But I needed something stronger, something that would fill the screen not just a box inside it. Then I found Mint, 2 days ago. How fast is this, it is so much quicker than OSX, and my mac is only 7 month old i7 processor etc.
Being new to Linux has it's quirks obviously, but as a mature student studying mechatronics, I though it quite important to get to grips with a linux based system and get familiar with the ins and outs of operating system basics as I want to program embedded software I think, and where better to start than with an OS you can play with till it breaks.
Anyway there's my introduction. Pleased to meet you all.
