I think it is just audio and video formats, mp3, DivX, wmv etc. I am sure someone could give you a complete list though...

I don't think anyone is going to whip up such a list for you. If you're ethically opposed to using your computer for basic things for which it was intended, then simply use the "Light" variant. :-)

Only Main edition is comes in light, Fluxbox does not... If you do not want to break any flawed patent laws, do not download it. I think the only thing that is illegal is to distribute it bundled with the distro, you can easily after install most of the patented components free of charge...
