I think it is just audio and video formats, mp3, DivX, wmv etc. I am sure someone could give you a complete list though...

I don't think anyone is going to whip up such a list for you. If you're ethically opposed to using your computer for basic things for which it was intended, then simply use the "Light" variant.

Only Main edition is comes in light, Fluxbox does not... If you do not want to break any flawed patent laws, do not download it. I think the only thing that is illegal is to distribute it bundled with the distro, you can easily after install most of the patented components free of charge...
