but, until an official announcement in the blog use them at your own risk

Great! So once the release is official do I just do a sudo apt-get dist-upgrade, or do I actually have to reinstall from the ISO? (I'm running the RC at the moment.)

rhallen,
- if you have the rc installed, dist-upgrade is good enough (but bare in mind that with that you will update all the pkgs to the latest v.- including kernel and xorg*)
- if you prefer a more conservative approach, open mintupdate and let it update the system (by default it only updates 1 to 3 levels), you still be up to date as far as this rc/final release matter and you will skip some potentially unstable updates.

Stable release up and running on my laptop! Really fast and smooth and without any glitches. But why is Firefox so ugly? There seems not to be any KDE-integration at all...

But for the rest kudos for the KDE-developers and testers of Linux Mint :D

Wonderful! Thanks for the response. It didn't occur to me to use mintupdate only because it has been acting a little flaky for me in the RC, so I've been updating via apt-get. I was planning on posting about it somewhere, but now that the final version is here I'll wait and see if the problem continues.
