- if you have the rc installed, dist-upgrade is good enough (but bare in mind that with that you will update all the pkgs to the latest v.- including kernel and xorg*)
- if you prefer a more conservative approach, open mintupdate and let it update the system (by default it only updates 1 to 3 levels), you still be up to date as far as this rc/final release matter and you will skip some potentially unstable updates.
