Mirrors for Linux Mint 2.2 Bianca (Beta 014)

Post by clem »

Hi,

As you can see the announcement made for Bianca Beta 014 has generated a lot of traffic on the website and a lot of people are currently downloading the ISO.

This makes our website, forum and wiki (oh yes, I haven't told anybody about that yet..) quite slow.

If you can act as a mirror and host the ISO file, we will be glad to put a link to your server in the download section. Hopefully, this will make the download faster for users and the website, forums and wiki faster for us.

Clem.

Mirror

Post by _coolsson_ »

After long and hard negotiations, the owner of Sethcom (my wife) donated 0.5 TB of traffic for a mirror.

Feel free to add the link to the download page.

The server is located in Texas and has a 100 Mb/s connection.

Did you guys notice how much faster things are today? I want to thank Michael from Lintelligence.de for that. After a lot of hits went on their server for the ISO file, Michael provided a torrent.

Our server is now fast again and we can enjoy the forums "at normal speed" :)

You can track the number of downloads for Bianca from here:
http://www.lintelligence.de/download/LinuxMint/Beta

As I'm writing this Bianca was downloaded 5916 times. There seems to be more than 1 download per second at the moment :)

Many thanks to lintelligence.de for that again.

Hi Coolson,

I'm putting a link to your download on the website. If you want to make an intermediate page with a download counter and maybe an advert, contact me by PM. That way everybody's happy, we get a new mirror from where we can track the number of downloads and you make a bit of money out of the bandwidth you spend for us.

Angela, Coolson,

This is great news for everybody. Thanks a lot for mirroring this release. If you have a way to count the downloads or the traffic, please do. So far we've had about 13,000 downloads on lintelligence.de.

Well you can add http://theporto.com/mint/ccount/click.php?id=1
as another mirror. The md5sum has been verified.

Unfortunately not sure if I'll be able to keep a track of how many times it gets down loaded.

Hi The host is Steelpixel.com and they are located in the USA, I think the servers are in the mid-west, but not sure.

In less than a day, there has been 93 GB of downloads from sethcom.net. About 130 iso files.
