Hi.
I build a font that I packaged on a Ubuntu PPA: https://launchpad.net/~packager-pecita/ ... otf-pecita .
It is a font so do not have an architecture but Launchpad allow to build packages only for Ubuntu releases, so I needed to specify Oneiric, Natty, Maverick, etc.
I switched from Ubuntu to Debian Mint because of Unity but I want to retrieve my font!
Is it possible to build my font package for Debian Mint and then push it on a public repository, such PPA?
TY,
Philippe
Is there a way to build a package for Mint? (eq PPA)

For Debian, you need to create (and maintain) a repo.

the beauty of linux is that the rabbit hole goes as deep as you want it to go.

Well!
I looked and it's not really simple. I would have to become a Debian Maintainer and enter the temple of the Debian sect is an adventure. My main problem is to find a (good) advocate!
I will try. Thank you.

Hello.
Really I think that the PPA needs be available in Debian
However, I found the right link : http://mentors.debian.net/

Meh, just package a .deb and submit it for to the existing repo people for review.

if you've get used to ubuntu (with PPA support, etc), it's easier to use mint main edition instead of LMDE,pecita wrote:I switched from Ubuntu to Debian Mint because of Unity but I want to retrieve my font!

Thank you very much, Pecita. I quite fancy this font, with all the ligatures. Really good work. It works well with Gimp, Inkscape and LibreOffice, just tried it out.
