Reliance Netconnect + (Huawei EC159)

Hi I'm totally new Linux. I need help installing Huawei EC159 modem which i bought recently from Reliance. I've installed all known packages required to install a usb modem in linux. But still i'm facing problems installing it. Tried sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf command and edited the phone no. username & password. After editing i've tried wvdial but it shows wrong user name password & phone no. I tried joli os first and now im using LIsa. anybody plz plz plz help me...

I will try.

1) Right click the driver "Huawei New Dialer - 6085 New Chipset.zip" you have downloaded and select "Extract Here"

2) The .zip archive will be extracted into a folder called "Huawei New Dialer - 6085 New Chipset". Double click to open this folder.
Now you'll see two folders ("__MACOSX" and "Huawei New Dialer - 6085 New Chipset"). Right click "Huawei New Dialer - 6085 New Chipset" folder and select "Open in Terminal"

3) Now in Terminal, run these commands (one by one followed by Enter key)
(Note: After running the second command you will get a prompt to give the install path. Just press the Enter key to select the default path)

Code: Select all

cd Linux
sudo bash install
exit

4) Plug in your device

Hi thanks a lot for replying actually i did get a manual from other website about how to install the mobile partner app. I did succeed in it. I tried almost one week in trying to install this modem. Atlast success.... thanks a lot...cheers...
