Shell extension to auto hide bottom panel

Postby oscarjd74 on Tue Dec 27, 2011 9:29 pm

Hi all,

Vertical screen real estate is precious. If you're like me you'll want a bottom panel that auto hides. I went and wrote an extension for that (see attachment). I didn't look around much for an existing extension so it might be redundant... Nevertheless, please enjoy and drop me a line if you do. It works like a charm on my Mint 12 system but your mileage may vary.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Beautiful. Being fairly new to Linux, I had to fumble around to get this done. But once the extension was added, it did the job. Thank you! :D

How do I make the change permanent? When I shut down & reboot, the extension switches to "off" every time.
