Hello, I think I run Mint Debian 10:
cat /proc/version
Linux version 2.6.32-5-686 (Debian 2.6.32-30) (ben@decadent.org.uk) (gcc version 4.3.5 (Debian 4.3.5-4) ) #1 SMP Wed Jan 12 04:01:41 UTC 2011
and recently I ran update manager and just let it do it's thing without paying much attention. Since then A2DP has not been working for me in gnome mplayer. I can still hear audio if I select the headseat but it doesn't sound very good. If I select A2DP in pulseaudio the option does not come up to select a2dp in mplayer under edit > options.
I have reinstalled everything I can think of.
Thank you for viewing my problem.

Update manager ran again today and everything works again. Problem solved.
