I wonder if anyone can help me solve a puzzle with Conky, please?
If I configure Conky to show "free space"/"file system size" for my main partition, I get this:
5.14GiB/6.75GiB
This implies that the "used space" is 1.61GiB.
But if I configure Conky to show "used space"/"file system size" I get this:
1.28GiB/6.75GiB
So there is a discrepancy of 0.33GiB between the two readings regarding the "used space". Of course it is no big deal, but I would be glad to know what is going on. I have googled the topic without result. Running LMDE Xfce. Many thanks.

I think this may be the difference between Gb and GiB
Gb typically is a "1000" bytes multiplier (sales/marketing)
and Gib is the correct/more accurate "1024" bytes multiplier.
but I could be wrong.
have a look ...

Re: Conky: discrepancy regarding file system "used space"
Thanks for responding, but I don't think that can be the answer, as all the readings are presumably based on the same system of units. And even if two systems were being used, that couldn't explain the difference between 1.28 and 1.61.
