ok the first one the start menu is not working well when you install new applications from the synaptic package manager the do not appear on the menu until you log out and login again.
the second one is that you can't set the time on from the tool bar it should ask you fro your password, instead I get an error message telling me that I'm not allowed to access the system conf.
that is all for now.

menu refresh
What works for me is right clicking on the menu, then selecting 'reload plugins'
Hope that helps
PS
I also have the set clock bug, but its set correctly so no biggie.

1. --> right click on mintmenu then Reload Plugins. (version 1.6 of mintmenu is going to be released in the repository in a few hours --> it automatically detects newly installed/removed apps and updates itself, so it fixes that bug).
2. --> This is weird.. I need to look at it a bit more. I can't understand why this bug is here and I can only assume it's in Ubuntu as well. I'll look at it but in the meantime you can access the time configuration through mintconfig.

little things
another little thing:
when you use desktop search, the mask is opening behind mintMenu, which has at first to be closed
and another one:
I have two 1280x800 screens. The "scorp_tiptup_logo" on boot seems not to have the right dimension. Is it a visual effect or am I right?
