[SOLVED] icon only task manager-icons persist

Hi,

Installed linux mint 12 KDE 4.8 and really like it.

I am using the icon-only task manger on the panel and have noticed that if I say shutdown Firefox or Thunderbird the icon persists (it doesn't leave the panel). An icon for a program that has been shutdown might stay on the panel for a few minutes or more as if the application was still running?

Sometimes starting another application seems to clean up dead icons-any ideas how to solve this?

SOLVED: I think this is solved, since I upgraded the ram on this machine by a Gb the problem has stopped or some recent updates solved it.
