LMDE undervolting (kernel phc patch)

Post by ammon »

Hi,
Does someone have some experience with phc patches on never kernels (>.36)
I used to do this on Arch Linux, but it is easy there due to AUR.
Have a look, maybe some of you have more experience with kernel than me
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=24980

They have some troubles I can see that. However I will try latter.

I also tried Liquorix kernel (it includes phc patch) but it unstable, I could not login in Gnome-Shell (don't know why).
There are PPA's for ubuntu with pre-patched kernels, would they be safe to use on Debian system?

I tried a phc precompiled Debian kernel before (months ago) on LMDE and although it worked, I never could get undervolting to work -- it didn't seem to create those handlers needed by phc tools. But it didn't cause any system malfunctions.

I would like to get this working on LMDE as well, and hopefully on a more recent kernel.

I just ended up upgrading to a Liquorix kernel that has PHC by default -> http://liquorix.net/
