multi monitor no mouse lock??

Postby like45ninjas on Tue Mar 20, 2012 8:43 pm

i just set up linux mint debian edition to have my other monitor plugged in, but for some reason it virtually extends the smaller monitor. what i mean by this, is my laptopt has 1920x1080 resolution, and my other one 1280x1024, but it makes the height of the 2nd monitor 1080. this causes my mouse to go off screen into nowhere, which makes it annoying to click the close button, because there is no corner to be stopped by. does anybody know the solution?

thanks

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I guess all your problems have to do with XServer which you can adjust in xorg.conf

For this problem you have to set a SubSection "Display" with a Virtual maximum resolution.
My Linux history: Ubuntu 10.04 - 10.10 - LMDE 201109 - UP4 My sources.list/preferences

Computers is not science. And it's not magic - it's something in between.
