Ok, I cannot guarantee that I'll be of much help. But, if you could, please tell us what this USB modem is for. Which ISP do you connect to? And is this USB modem just to pick up wireless signals from a wireless device in your house that connects you to the internet? As much information as you can provide may help move this along further to giving you suggestions that may help.

Is it a 3G / mobile broadband dongle? In that case you can often click the network icon in the tray and choose to make a connection from there.

I don't know exactly.
My modem is BM338 and it same Wifi modem.Don't work with card.
I try to make connection internet ,but modem dose not work.
I have not problem with windows ,but it dose not run on mint.

Well, I've been looking around on the internet. But I cannot find a whole lot in relation to this modem and making it work on Linux. The closest I got so far is the following link.

Linux Mint is based on Ubuntu by the way. So this may or may not help.

Chances are that you're modem isn't Linux compatible at the moment. A lot of software modems are not.

Your best bet is to buy a modem with the right chipset. Either that, or stick with Windows. Google isn't being very helpful in searching for solutions to this.

Another thing you can try is to install the Windows driver for your modem with Ndiswrapper. Go into Menu>Administration>Windows Wireless Drivers.

It'll ask for your password, enter it.

Now, a window will pop up with the option "Install New Driver". Click that.

Now, make sure that the disk that came with the modem is inserted.

You should be able to find the driver on the disk with Ndiswrapper and select it.

Most usb modems are supported in mint so that should not be an issue. Unfortunately when I tried checking whether your service provider (mtn Irancell) is listed, I found two service providers but both are listed in Arabic/Persian (which I don't know). Anyway I'm writing down the instructions on how you can set it up in your system. Please let me know if there is any problem.

Log into mint and plug in the modem. Wait for a few minutes till the light changes to green (if it has that feature, if not just wait for a few minutes).
Right click on the network manager icon --> edit connections --> mobile broadband --> add. the network manager icon is the one next to the date and time on your taskbar.
In the popup that comes up, your device should be listed at the bottom in the dropdown. If it's not there, just wait for a few more minutes and try again. It sometimes takes as much as 5 min before the device is recognized.
After that just click next, following the directions for country and service provider. Click finish.
In the new popup, you can give your connection a name at the top. Leave everything else as is. close.
Right click on the network manager icon --> Enable mobile broadband.
Left click on the network manager icon --> click on your connection (The name that you assigned it will be displayed)
You should get connected in a few seconds.

Again, no guarantee that Ndiswrapper will work. But it's worth a shot.

ndiswrapper is for wifi drivers, and this modem is dial-up or 3G (it's not really clear to me from the posts).
