no updates for XFCE (again sorry)

Post by Vito49 »

Hello, i'm using only LMDX 201109 and i'm really concerned about the lack of package updates. March 2 2012 was de very last one ... i can't believe this is normal. On March 2 i changed my sources list to:

Code: Select all

deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ debian main upstream import
deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest testing main contrib non-free
deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest/security testing/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest/multimedia testing main non-free
I immediately got a few updates, but since then no updates any more.
Maybe i'm too concerned ...
Can somebody please explain if this is normal? Do i have to be worried? Or do i do something wrong?

Sorry for being a pain in the ** :-)

Vito

Hi,

I was wondering about this too...

I'vjust updated for the first time in months and only a few items came down...

I'm still runnnig LibreOffice 3.3.3 and Firefox 9.1... Is that right or should I have changed something else?

my sources.list looks like:

Code: Select all

deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ debian main upstream import
deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest testing main contrib non-free
deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest/security testing/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest/multimedia testing main non-free

there's nothing wrong with your systems :D you are pointing at latest that for several reasons hasn't been updated since last august, a new UP (4) is in the way.
hope the following link helps a bit http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... aq#p525343

Thanks - that's good to know.

The delay doesn't really bother me... just as long as I'm set up to recieve uprdates properley when they do come... which it looks like I am, so all is well.

Thank you!
