Why won't my Mint Menu minimize? solved
I am new to mint and very impressed but have this small problem. After I open the menu it then refuses to minimize unless I restart the computer. Is this a known problem? Is there anything I can do about it?

I was to write you an answer when I discover that I don't find the config program that had the setting I suspected, so it's something else

Yes, the main edition, newly installed a week or so ago, and all working fine until today. An acer aspire with ati radeon if that makes any difference.

Now I have to call for support.... 
My memory supported me
Unless you have mintMenu 3 installed Right click the menu and select preferences
you could get a "mountain of settings" one of them "Pin menu" which should not be ticked

Thanks! That was it. Now I just need to find out which of my children ticked that box!
