I'm looking forward to 4.11, when they migrate to GTK+ 3.

The Xfce development team is proud to announce the first preview release for Xfce 4.10. Together with this preview release, the Xfce project announces the feature freeze for the final 4.10 release which is set to be pushed out to the world on April 28th, 2012.

I'm very exited - I haven't looked at it closely, but I'm hoping it brings functionality to Thunar (that was my one big gripe with XFCE). Then it will be a full gnome 2 replacement on my very old gateway desktop (which is running Mint 9 XFCE).

I'm using 4.6.2 on SalineOS which does everything I need but Wheezy looks promising.
I thought you enhanced Thunar with custom actions?

Yes Waiting...

Read 4.8 has problems/rushed on XFCE boards. Personally I think was a good upgade from 4.6.

I just wonder if LMDE will get a timely Update pack (I believe a whole DE would need a Pack upgrade?) or if we'll be told to wait for next (Gnome/Cinnamon) major update!again?? :P

P.S. Phinx (PCLOS distro) started using pre release and their posting on how to compile (pre) on Ubuntu already!

It's not clear they will do so in 4.11. Read the section "Gtk3" in http://blog.xfce.org/
